  1. Fill your diffuser halfway with water. Make sure that you do not overfill. Ultrasonic diffusers require additional space at the top to allow the water to flow quickly enough to convert into the cool mist that comes from the diffuser’s top. If the water level in the diffuser is too high, the diffuser will create less mist. Reduced water volume (more space at the top) leads to more mist. Excessive water (inadequate to no space at the top) produces little to no mist.
